Accommodation

Heraklion offers plenty of nice hotels, BnB, and many more rooms. If you choose an accommodation in or close to the city center, you’ll have no trouble in getting to the venue in short time.

By the way: #AgileCrete participants traditionally share cars, enjoy giving others a ride to the venue and are a lovely bunch of helpful individuals. So don’t worry how you’ll get there – just contact us and we’ll tell you all about how to attend and best enjoy #AgileCrete!

Staying at the Venue

Since 2016, we’re no longer offering #AgileCrete tickets that include accommodation at the venue. By that time, we had learned that managing and resolving accommodation issues is nothing we’d like to specialize on.

However, the venue has offered us a discounted price, for AgileCrete participants (please remember to mention “AgileCrete” during your booking):

Room type: Executive Room
Occupancy: Single / Double
Non-refundable price: 100 EUR
Flexible price: 120 EUR

Terms:

  • The prices are valid per room per night, including a rich american style buffet breakfast and include VAT and city council taxes. Additional taxes in force since 01/01/2018 are not included.
  • A free WiFi internet connection is available in all rooms and areas of the hotel.
  • The non-refundable prices assume payment in full on the day of the reservation and are not refunded in case of cancelation.
  • The flexible prices require your credit card information and allow you to cancel your booking up to 2 days prior to arrival, with no cancelation charges.

Once again, please note this offer is subject to hotel availability and you will have to handle your booking directly (i.e. we cannot help with that).

Other Options

Heraklion offers a rich choice of accommodation alternatives, both in the old town and in the proximity of the city. Prices can vary anywhere between 50 EUR per double per night and … well, open end.

If you decide not to book any room in advance, here’s some advice:

  • looking for a room before 9 am or during “siesta time” (some hours before and after noon) is not a good idea
  • it is quite common to have a look at a room before you book it, don’t hesitate to ask
  • large apartments and studios may even be cheaper than a regular hotel room, you’ll probably not be eating in your hotel anyway
  • Heraklion overview and hotel ratings on tripadvisor.com
  • Rooms, flats and houses on AirBnb.com or HouseTrip.com
